RCMP ask for help in attempted abduction of road flagger on long-weekend
FORT ST JOHN–RCMP in Fort St. John were made aware of an attempted abduction of a road flagger on Sunday, August 4th.
According to reports at around 9 am a dark blue van, with silver striping approached a road flagger on Highway 29 near Szoo Rd, around 27 km south-west of Charlie Lake. The van came to a stop near the lone woman flagger, a caucasian male exited the vehicle and attempted to pull the woman in it.
The flagger struggled with the male, who eventually got back into the van and drove off, towards Hudson’s Hope BC.
