WINNIPEG, Man. — The Mounties say they’re confident they’ve found the bodies of two B-C murder suspects in dense bush near the shore of a northern Manitoba river.
RCMP Assistant Commissioner Jane MacLatchy says the bodies were found this morning less than a kilometre away from several items linked to the two suspects that were found yesterday.
In Surrey, R-C-M-P Assistant Commissioner Kevin Hackett says it’s going to be extremely difficult to determine what the motive was for the murders and he’s hoping the scene where the two bodies were found may have more clues.
The Port Alberni men were facing a second-degree murder charge in the death of a university lecturer from Vancouver and were suspects in the deaths of an Australian man and his American girlfriend.
