Conifex extends curtailment in Mackenzie

MACKENZIE — More bad news for the forestry sector in Mackenzie.

This as Conifex has announced it’s extending the temporary curtailment of its Mackenzie sawmill operation for three weeks until September 3.

The company blames the move on continued high log costs and lumber market conditions.

The move comes on the heels of Canfor’s decision to indefinitely curtail operations at its Mackenzie sawmill last month.
