BBBSPG sees potentially largest influx in volunteer calls

PRINCE GEORGE — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Prince George was one of three organizations vying for funding at a Hundred Heroes PG event Monday night. While BBBSPG placed second, the exposure has led to the highest single-day influx of volunteers wanting to make a difference in the lives of youth.

A Facebook post on a local community page called for more volunteers for the organization and has led to hundreds of reactions, comments, and shares. The outpour of support should help the 80 youth currently waiting for a mentor, and the dozen who are about to age out of BBBS programming.
