PRINCE GEORGE — A Vanderhoof woman is facing multiple charges following an alleged stabbing in Prince George this week.

RCMP say the incident occurred at around 4 p.m. on Wednesday inside a residence on the 1400 block of 3rd Avenue.

Police arrived to find a male victim suffering from injuries consistent with being stabbed by an edged weapon.

A lone female suspect fled the scene before emergency services were called.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

Later that afternoon police arrested 18-year-old Madison Rose Patrick downtown and is now facing four charges including assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and resisting arrest.

Patrick was released on a recognizance and will appear in court on September 11.

Police say the suspect and victim are known to each other and say it was a targeted attack as a result of a disagreement.
