At around 11 PM on Sunday, August 18 officers responded to a report of a stabbing near the corner of 3rd Ave and George Street. When police arrived they located an adult male suffering from stab wounds. Officers administered first aid until paramedics arrived to the scene, where the man was then transported to hospital. A portion of George Street was closed for a period of time as police gathered evidence.
The suspect has not been located and is believed to have fled the area on a bike before emergency services were called. RCMP believe the attack was targeted involving the drug trade. The victim has been uncooperative with police and is expected to recover. Anyone with information is asked to contact PG RCMP.
