RCMP looking for man in alleged sexual assault
BURNS LAKE– RCMP are asking for help in finding a man in connection to an alleged sexual assault last week.
RCMP responded to a report of a sexual assault at Radley Beach on Thursday (Aug.15) at around 11:30 PM. According to a release by the RCMP a 15-year-old girl was sitting on a bench when an unknown man sat down beside her, the suspect proceeded to put his hand on her back. The girl decided to stand up and leave, and the man attempted to stop her from leaving.
The 15-year-old was able to run from the area and called police immediately. Police responded to the scene right away, however, were unable to locate the man.
The man is being described as heavy set, 5’5 to 5’10 in height, short dark hair on the sides with longer hair on the top of his head. He might be First Nations and was last seen wearing a red checkered plaid sweater, black shirt and dark jeans.
