First Director of Aboriginal Education announced for SD57
PRINCE GEORGE–The Board of Education has announced Pamela Spooner as the Director of Aboriginal Education in SD57.
Spooner holds a Masters degrees in Education and First Nations Studies will take over the position after serving as Principal of Aboriginal Education in School District No.67 (Okanagan Shaha) during the 2018-19 year.
Before that she was at Prince George’s Nusdeh Yoh Elementary School, for six years, where she served as Principal for four years.
“Her experience and her knowledge of community in Prince George and the North is extraordinary,” said Rod Allen, Superintendent of Schools for School District No. 57. “We’re so happy to have her back in the SD 57 family.
