PRINCE GEORGE — Since 2010, the Bike-A-Thon has raised more than $130,000 to support healthcare initiatives in Northern BC through Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.
The fundraiser has supported the foundation’s greatest areas of need, including it’s regional Cardiac Campaign, Optos OCT-SLO for the eye clinic, and Spect CT Scanner.
The Bike-A-Thon started at 8am from the Guru Nanak Darbar Sikh Temple. A celebratory lunch is being held at Purden Lake at 12:30pm.
The total raised this year will be revealed in the near future.
