A 23-year-old man was airlifted to hospital after suffering a major fall while hiking near Quesnel. He is warning the public to be wary when hiking, after he took a phone call and wasn’t paying attention to his surroundings getting too close to the edge of a cliff.

Wanted man arrested after hiding out in local residence

Police blocked off part of the 1900 block of Spruce Street on Tuesday in search of a wanted man. 39-year-old, Eric West surrendered to police after hiding out at a residence. Witnesses say police had their weapons drawn at one point as they surrounded the residence.

SPCA asks Crossroads goers to donate to pet food bank

The SPCA is asking the public to bring cat and kitten food to support their pet food bank this weekend at the Crossroads Street Festival. This after the SPCA entirely ran out of food for the furry felines.
