PRINCE GEORGE – This week marks one year since the natural gas pipeline exploded.

On the evening of October 9, 2018, a 36-inch Enbridge natural gas pipeline ruptured and exploded less than a kilometre from the First Nations community of Shelley and 13 km northeast of Prince George.

About 100 residents of the First Nation community were evacuated from their homes after a gas pipeline ruptured, sparking a massive blaze.

The Transportation Safety Board has not released an official report on the cause of the pipeline rupture and fire.
