Social chronics weighing down police

PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George RCMP says they are continually being weighed down with the picking up of social chronic offenders.

Almost on a daily bases, police say they deal with individuals who are drunk and can’t take care of themselves.

As there is no place for these intoxicated people to go, the RCMP are left dealing with the health issue.

According to police the time spent dealing with health issues takes them away from dealing with criminal code investigations.
