Library Board Chair appoints newest Library Director

PRINCE GEORGE–The title of Library Director was appointed by the Library Board Chair.

PG Public Library Board Chair, Mike Gagel appointed Paul Burry to the role Wednesday. Burray was previously Manager of Support and Circulation Services, and has served in the Acting Chief Librarian role since the retirement of Janet Marren in July.

Burry has been with the library since 2011 and has been living in Prince George with his wife and three daughters sin 2003. He earned a Bachelor of Arts at UNBC while he worked as a Library Assistant in UNBC’s Geoffrey R. Weller Library.

Burry also completed his Master of Library and Information Science degree at the University of Washington in 2011, before joining the PG Public Library.
