KAMLOOPS — Tight contests seem to be the norm for the Prince George Cougars but once again, the club found themselves on the wrong side of the tracks. PG visiting Kamloops but losing 1-0.

Scoreless through two, Matthew Seminoff broke the ice for the Blazers with his second goal of the season. Despite the tightly contested affair, shots were heavily in Kamloops’ favour, outshooting the Cats 15-8 through one period, 31-13 through two, and 44-23 overall.

Cougars starter Taylor Gauthier was once again brilliant despite not earning the win. He made 43 saves in the losing effort. Vladislav Mikhalchuk also made his WHL season debut registering two shots on goal.

Tonight, the Cats take their 4-14-0-2 to Langley where they will meet the Vancouver Giants for a 7pm start.
