RCMP arrest Houston-murder suspect in Terrace

HOUSTON — A man wanted in connection to a homicide in Houston, British Columbia is now in police custody.

William Griffin was located and arrested without incident on Friday in Terrace, British Columbia.

Griffin has now been charged with second-degree murder in relation to the death of Elija Dumont, which occurred on November 10, 2019. Police believe that the two men were known to each other and this was an isolated incident.

Griffin is remanded in custody and will appear in court on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, at Smithers Provincial courts.

According to Cpl. Madonna Saunderson, E Division RCMP Major Crime Section continues to investigate this incident.
