Prince George among the Lowe’s Canada store closures early next year

PRINCE GEORGE–The Prince George Lowe’s Home Improvement Store on Massey Drive is one of 34 underperforming stores across six provinces set to close early next year as part of a restructuring of the company’s business.
According to the Lowe’s Canada website, the PG store will close February 19, 2020.
“We are closing the Lowe’s Prince George store because it is underperforming,” said Lowe’s in a statement to CKPG Today. “109 employees currently work at the Lowe’s in Prince George. The decision to close stores is never one that we take lightly as we are fully aware of the impacts on our employees and their families.”
Lowe’s adds “everything will be done to ensure a smooth transition until the stores are closed, and all impacted employees will be supported by our HR team and will have access to the Employee Assistance Program.”
