Hockey Canada makes changes to age divisions

Nov 20, 2019 | 7:55 PM

At its Winter Congress this past weekend in Montreal, the Hockey Canada membership approved a regulation change proposed by the board of directors to revise the naming of the age divisions used in minor hockey across Canada. So gone are age groups like midget, bantam, and peewee and now it will be U18, U15, and U13. The changes are set to take place next year for the 2020-2021 seasons and Hockey Canada believes this will help simplify the process for new families registering in the sport.
