Major rock slide on Hwy. 51

TELEGRAPH CREEK–A major rock slide is causing delays on Highway 51.

According to DriveBC the rock slide is located between Glenora Rd. and Tahltan River Bridge around 19 KM east of Telegraph Creek. There is no detour available, however, there are daily scheduled openings from 10-4 p.m which DriveBC says are subject to change on short notice.

Currently, Geotechnical monitoring of the side area is ongoing and delays are a strong possibility. The road will be closed overnight.
