Police seeking help in weekend shooting

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George RCMP is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect and three witnesses to a shooting last weekend in Prince George.

Police received a report of an adult male with a gunshot wound at a residence on Irwin Street just before 6:30 Saturday morning (Nov.23).

The male was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Investigators later discovered the shooting took place in the parking lot of a nearby credit union at the corner of 5th Avenue and Central Street.

The male suspect was wearing a dark Adidas jacket with a hood, black pants, dark shoes and a red ball call cap with a white logo.

Police have also shared images of three witnesses. Mounties believe this was not a random incident and instead the result of a disagreement between the victim and the suspect.
