PRINCE GEORGE – Yes, the frigid temperatures are here already in the Northern Capital and while there’s some time before winter has officially arrived, winter maintenance for vehicles is certainly important.
Spencer Lytle, a sales associate at Fountain Tire, says it’s important to ensure that you have winter tires first and foremost. In B.C., winter tires are required by law as of October 1st through until April 30th.
Other tips included keeping a watchful eye on your tire pressure as cold air can allow air to seep out through the liner of your tires.
Also, an emergency kit with a blanket, food, water, and a candle can help as well.
