Doherty appointed Shadow Minister for Transport
OTTAWA–Local Member of Parliament for Cariboo-Prince George, Todd Doherty was appointed Shadow Minister of Transport today (Friday, Nov.29th.)
Doherty says “it is an honour” to have been appointed to the position, “I am looking forward to the challenge of holding the Minister to account, while working collaboratively to ensure the best policy possible for Canadians,” said Doherty.
Doherty brings experience from the private sector to his new role; as an aviation executive, he was assigned to promoting regional, provincial and national passenger, cargo and tourism opportunities on the world stage. Doherty has represented Canada in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the America’s on trade missions, industry conferences and on industry regulatory panels.
Meanwhile Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies MP Bob Zimmer was appointed federal critic for Northern Affairs and the Northern Economic Development Agency.
