‘Various injuries’ after BC Corrections vehicle from P.G. involved in highway crash

QUESNEL — A BC Corrections transport truck from Prince George Regional Corrections Centre was involved in a single-vehicle crash five kilometres north of Quesnel just before 10:30 this morning.

Poor weather was to blame as Mounties say the truck went off a snowy Highway 97 and slid into a ditch near Norn Road.

North District RCMP say some of the occupants received various non-life threatening injuries and were treated in hospital. Police add that all occupants are accounted for.

The investigation is ongoing.
