Enbridge upgrades coming

PRINCE GEORGE – The region north of Prince George is going to bee a very busy place next year.

Enbridge recently made a presentation to Council about some work that will replace old compressor station units with new, more reliable and efficient units, add an additional compressor station unit and undertake smaller upgrades and operational maintenance at various facilities along the system.

Five compressors stations will be replaced with three in this region: McLeod Lake, Summit Lake and Hixon.

The company says servicing will largely be conducted out of Prince George.

Enbridge says roughly 300 people will be working on these projects over the course of 18 to 24 months.
