Cougars open 2020 with win over Everett

PRINCE GEORGE — An exciting start to the New Year for the Prince George Cougars as they earn their third win in five games. It was a back and forth tilt with the Cats coming out on top 4-3 over the Everett Silvertips.

Tyson Upper earned first star honours with three points including the opening goal for his fifth of the season. Ethan Samson and Vladislav Mikhalchuk both found the back of the net before Ryan Schoettler’s powerplay marker finished off the scoring midway through the third period with the eventual game-winner.

With the win, PG improves to 10-21-2-3 and will look for a weekend sweep over the Silvertips Saturday night. Puck drop at 7:00pm at the CN Centre.
