1st Year Northern Medical Students visit Stellat’en

Stellat’en – It’s the first field trip of the year for 40 northern medical students.

The students boarded a bus in Prince George and headed for the community of Stellat’en located about three kilometres west of Fraser Lake.

Here they heard from local leaders and from those practicing medicine in northern communities.

This is an opportunity for students to ask questions on how medicine is practiced on reserves and experience a bit of the Aboriginal culture.
