The Cougars announce trades with the Blades and Wheat Kings

PRINCE GEORGE–The Prince George Cougars made a pair of trades with the Brandon Wheat Kings and Saskatoon Blades prior to this afternoon’s WHL deadline.

The Cats dealt defenceman Rhett Rheinhart to the Saskatoon Blades and forward Reid Perepeluk to the Brandon Wheat Kings.

The Cougars acquired, defenceman Majid Kaddoura, a first round WHL draft pick this year, and the rights to unsigned 2003-born forward Jayden Watson from the Blades, in exchange for Rhinehart and a third-round Bantam pick.

The Cougars also obtained forward Jonny Hooker from the Brandon Wheat Kings in exchange for Perepeluk.
