RCMP seek knife-wielding suspect after attempted robbery
PRINCE GEORGE — Local Mounties are seeking the public’s help in locating a suspect in an attempted robbery.
Prince George RCMP say the incident occurred just before 7 p.m. on Wednesday January 8 at a retail store on the 600 block of Central Street.
“Initial indications were that a lone male attempted to steal approximately $200 in perfumes,” says Cpl. Craig Douglass. “When confronted by staff, the suspected pulled a large knife and fled the area.”
He says police scoured the area, with the help of a Police Dog Services team, but the suspect was not found.
