PRINCE GEORGE–Owners of a home that went up in flames last fall, killing one and injuring three are now being asked to tear down the home.

In last night’s (Jan.21) council meeting, Council approved remedial action on the home on 1103 Chilako Ave., saying that the structure is in an unsafe condition, offensive to the community and a nuisance.

Registered owners John Singh Berar and Spuran Kaur Sidhu are being asked to demolish the fire-damaged home, remove all debris from the yard including from the demolition of the structure, and to level the site.

If the demolition and clean up of the site are not completed before 5 p.m. on February 5th, 2020 the City will follow through at the expense of the property owners.
