It’s an agreement between seven Carrier Sekani First Nations and the Province which the parties say will boost the economy in the entire Omineca region and advance reconciliation.
The Province says the Pathways Forward Agreement will provide the First Nations a path to self government, meaningful opportunities for shared decision making and a revenue sharing structure.
The First Nations signatories are the Stellat’en First Nation, Nadleh Whut’en, Ts’il Kaz Koh First Nation, Saik’uz First Nation, Nak’azdli Whut’en, Takla Nation and Tl’azt’en Nation.
