A new development regarding the future of UNBC President Dr. Daniel Weeks.
CKPG’s newsroom has received a copy of an email sent to staff where Dr. Weeks writes: “The situation requires that I take a medical leave, effective immediately. I am dealing with some matters that I have put on hold for many, many weeks, but on the advice of my physician, I should no longer delay dealing with them.”
In his absence, Dr. Geoff Payne will be the acting president.
Dr. Weeks is facing a vote of non-confidence by the Senate next month.
