Foothills Landfill named one of BC’s top oil, antifreeze Return Collection Facilities

PRINCE GEORGE — The Foothills Landfill is the number 20 oil and anti-freeze Return Collection Facility in BC, according to the BC Used Oil Management Association. It’s a bit of recognition for a service many may not know much about.
The Foothills Landfill has been offering the service for over 15 years, part of what goes into BCUOMA’s “top collector” recognition, along with the total amount collected and continued support to recycling programs. Depending on the condition of the material collected, it can become a range of new products.
The Regional District offers the service at a number of different locations including Foothills, Quinn Street Recycling Depot, Vanway Transfer Station, as well as a number of return-to-retailers through BCUOMA.
