Better patient care, relationships being seen through Facility Engagement initiative

PRINCE GEORGE — The province-wide Facility Engagement program aims to improve the work environment and delivery of patient care, and over the last four years that’s exactly what it has done.

More communication is being had now than ever before for family doctors to hospital workers and above. This has resulted in less finger-pointing, and more action taken to give patients more efficient care. Various ongoing projects will have dozens of specialists working together at any given time and Dr. Ian Schokking, PG Facility Engagement Chair, says it has changed the culture dramatically.
