RDFFG asks for public’s cooperation this long weekend at landfills and transfer stations
PRINCE GEORGE—The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George (RDFFG) is asking the public’s cooperation this long weekend as they brace for a busy weekend with social distancing measures in place.
Manager of Waste Diversion Programs with the Regional District, Laura Zapotichny says that this is the time of year where they usually see lots of people visit landfills and transfer stations due to spring cleaning.
But things will be different when people visit this weekend as social distancing measure are in place, meaning that less people are allowed access at one time at landfills and transfer stations.
“We recognize this will mean long wait times, but we are asking the public for its patience and cooperation. When it comes to measures to keep everyone safe from COVID-19, we must be all in this together.”— Laura Zapotichny, Manager of Waste Diversion Programs, RDFFG
