Two new cases of COVID-19 in Northern Health

VICTORIA — Fourteen new cases of COVID-19 in British Columbia over the past 24 hours, including two new cases in Northern Health.

That brings the total number of people diagnosed in B.C. to 1,575. 983 people have recovered.

Of the 32 cases in Northern Health, 25 people have recovered and two people are in intensive care units. There have been no deaths in Northern Health.

120 people are hospitalized in B.C. with the virus and 56 of those people are in intensive care units.

Three more people have died in B.C. bringing the provincial tally to 78.

Here’s the regional breakdown:

Vancouver Coastal Health: 670

Fraser Health: 630

Interior Health: 149

Island Health: 94

Northern Health: 32

“As we all continue to maintain safe physical distancing precautions and follow good hand hygiene, it is vital that we show care and compassion for those around us,” said B.C. Health Minister Adrian Dix and B.C.’s provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry.
