PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George RCMP held a moment of silence this morning in remembrance of the RCMP member killed last weekend in the 13-hour bloody rampage that claimed the lives of almost two dozen Nova Scotians.

The death of RCMP Cst. Heidi Stevenson has personally affected all members of the local RCMP detachment says RCMP Staff Sgt. Kent Macneill.

“I think the RCMP and emergency services are all one big giant family across the country and I think you can tell by who showed up today and volunteered their time to pay tribute. It hits close to home for everybody here at the detachment.”
