VICTORIA — Saturday’s coronavirus update saw an increase of 95 COVID-19 cases in British Columbia, according to Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry. That brings the provincial total to 1,948. Recovered patients are now at 1,137, while deaths have now reached 100, including the first in an Indigenous community.

Northern Health did not see any increase in cases, this region remains at 42 confirmed cases.

Saturday’s jump is largely due to the Mission Correctional Facility as the province bears down on testing. Of the 95 new cases, 40 are from this outbreak.
