B.C. Wildfire Service launches wildfire app

KAMLOOPS—The B.C. Wildfire Service has launched it’s official wildfire app, which provides real-time wildfire information and an interactive map.

The B.C. Wildfire Service says that the new app is one of many proactive initiatives it has undertaken to give members of the public, media and stakeholders access to consistent, accurate and timely wildfire information across the province.

Key features of the app include, a wildfire map and offers the same features found on the B.C. Wildfire Dashboard such as, current wildfire danger ratings, active fires, open burning prohibitions and more.

Other features include the latest news and advisories, statistics and a fire reporting tool.
