Shots fired leads to man in custody, say Terrace RCMP

TERRACE– A man is in police custody after reports of shots fired yesterday (May 13).

At around 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, Terrace RCMP were called to the 3700 block of Pine Ave. after reports of shots fired.

Witnesses say that they heard gunshots, saw a firearm, and then a black and red truck leaving the location.

Terrace RCMP say that frontline officers as well as members from Traffic, General Investigation, Crime Reduction, Forensic Identification, and Police Dog sections responded to the call, locating a truck matching the given description at a residence just off of Queensway.

The suspect surrendered to police without incident and is being held for investigation.
