Applications for COVID-19 response funds open

PRINCE GEORGE — Support is on the way for local non-profits supporting the COVID-19 response.

The Prince George Community Foundation will start accepting applications today from qualified donees. Close to $200,000 is available.

The grants can be used for a variety of things including staffing and resource needs. The funding was made possible through Ottawa’s $350 million Emergency Community Support Fund.

The aim of the program is to support vulnerable populations disproportionately affected by COVID-19.
