UNBC soccer clubs face difficult challenge of recruiting moving forward
It’s been one week since the UNBC Timberwolves soccer clubs were forced to cancel their 2020 season, and now both Coaching staffs face the challenge of not only keeping their athletes engaged, but also building a roster for 2021.
No season makes the challenging task of recruiting that much more difficult for the squads, as they now look ahead to 2021.
“The new normal is there is no soccer in the community whatsoever for us to go out and recruit,” stated Head Coach of the Men’s soccer team Steve Simonson.
“Most of the recruiting for the upcoming year tends to be done for this time of year anyway, so it’s start fresh for looking for September 2021 and navigate the situation as best as we can.”
