$8.7 million upgrade coming for Whudujut/Ancient Forest

PRINCE GEORGE — Good news for users of Whudujut/Ancient Forest.
The Lheidli T’enneh says it has been successful in its application to the federal and provincial governments ‘Investing in Canada’s Infrastructure; Community, Culture and Recreation stream, for the upgrade and development of Chun T’oh Whudujut (Ancient Forest) Park and Protected area.
The $8.7 million dollar project includes new reparian wetland hiking trails, an interpretive centre, sweat lodge, pit house, gazebo, improved boardwalks, pathways, washrooms, access roads, parking and signage and will be developed over a three-year period.
