“Also for my team. Our goal from the start was to get better with every game or practice and that’s what I thought we did. We were playing our best when the season was postponed.”

It was a building year for a young Cougars squad, and for a veteran like Colina, it was a chance for him to be a leader in the locker room and pass his knowledge on to the younger players.

“The advice I usually give is really there is nothing to be nervous about or worried about. It’s just the game of hockey. Really the only thing is you’re only playing with older guys.”

Preparation for next season is well underway for the Cats veteran forward and when it comes to goals in his final year of Junior Hockey, the 20-year-old is keeping it simple.

“Just to make the playoffs. That is really the only goal. I just want to win.”
