Cougars ink Karkkainen

The Prince George Cougars announced Thursday afternoon that they have signed Jonni Karkkainen to a WHL Standard Player Agreement.

Karkkainen, a 2003 born forward from Finland, was selected 12th overall by the Prince George Cougars in the 2020 CHL Import Draft.

“We’re happy to have Jonni committed to our team for next season. We look forward to integrating him into our group,” stated Cougars’ General Manager & Head Coach, Mark Lamb in a press release sent out by the team.

The 17-year-old had 9 goals and 9 assists last year in 29 games played.
