Two wildfires near Terrace found over B.C. Day long weekend

TERRACE—Two small wildfires sparked over the weekend in northern B.C., both of them near Terrace, in the Northwest Fire Centre area.
According to the BC Wildfire Service’s interactive map, the fires were started by lightning.
Both were discovered on August 1. One is located 9.5 kilometres north-west of Terrace and is an estimated 0.20 hectares in size. The second is near Moraine Creek and is an estimated 0.10 hectares in size.
Both fires have been deemed under control.
