Work begins this week on 20 km stretch of road near Fort St. John

FORT ST. JOHN–Road work begins this week on a 21.4 km stretch of side-road in the North Peace.

The $4-million project begins five kilometres north of Cecil Lake Road on Rose Prairie Road. Crews will work their way north to 260 Rd., east to 259 Rd., then north again, ending at Milligan Creek Rd.

The resurfacing method being used is called, hot-in-place-recycling, where the top layer of asphalt is heated, reprocessed and then deposited to replace the original layer. According to the Province, this method works quickly and is cost-effective.
