“I feel like I got on a bit of a roll at the midpoint of the season. Doing everything I could to excel at that. Doing everything I could get puck possession for the team.”

The team began to turn it around midseason and learn from their mistakes.

They’re also learning from Head Coach and General Manager Mark Lamb and Associate Coach Jason Smith, who has passed on their extensive knowledge to a young group.

“I think it’s super important to have two guys that have been to where you’re trying to get to and know what they are talking about and know what it takes to be successful at that level,” explained Boyle.

In 120 games played in the Western Hockey League, Boyle had 3 goals and 3 assists and this off-season he is hoping to develop a number of areas of his game and become a more reliable player in all situations for the Cats.

“I’m trying to develop my confidence and keep working on getting faster and stronger. Working on my face-offs and stuff like that.”

Boyle, along with his teammates have set the bar high for the next year and are chomping at the bit to get back on the ice.

“I feel like we got a good group of guys going into next year. Guys that have grown together and I feel like we have a really good chance to make a good push and win some games right off the hope.”
