Update: Highway 16 West reopens near Vanderhoof following crash

VANDERHOOF — Update: According to a witness on scene, the highway has reopened.

Earlier: Motorists beware: Highway 16 West is closed near Vanderhoof in both directions due to a vehicle incident.

RCMP say it happened at 2:15 p.m. at Carman Hill Road, about 10 kilometres east of town. A detour is not available.

A witness on the scene says it involves at least three vehicles.

No word yet on any injuries or when the highway may reopen.
