PG residents affected by dementia able to participate in online discussion
PRINCE GEORGE—Local residents affected by dementia will be able to take part in a two-part online discussion series with the goal of creating a dementia friendly B.C.
Demystifying Advocacy, is being hosted by the Alzheimer Society of B.C. who says they are working towards creating a province where people living with dementia are welcomed, supported and included.
“Building a dementia-friendly province would be impossible without the tireless efforts of dementia advocates.”—Maria Howard, CEO, Alzheimer Society of B.C.
Part One of the discussion will focus on “Changing your Situation,” which will explore advocating for yourself and members of your family, while Part Two is “Changing the System,” which will look at how advocates raise their voices to help change policy and practice.
