Driver caught going 80 kms over speed limit: RCMP urge drivers to slow down

DAWSON CREEK— RCMP are urging drivers to slow down after catching someone driving 80 kms over the speed limit on Oct. 5th.

A tweet by Dawson Creek RCMP opens with “Slow Down!” Adding that the Peace Region Traffic Services Unit based out of Dawson Creek pulled over a driver going 180 kms in a 100 km zone.

The tweet goes on to add that the person was served a $483 fine along with a seven-day impound and a three-point penalty on their driver’s license.

Dawson Creek RCMP add that driving fast is not worth the risk.
