Northern B.C. man wanted in connection to illegal activity across Canada arrested

ABBOTSFORD—A Northern B.C. man wanted on an outstanding Warrant was taken into custody in the Lower Mainland for charges connected to illegal activity in B.C.’s north and out of Halifax, N.S.

On September 30, members of the Federal RCMP Major Projects team arrested Darcy Peter Bailey at a home in the 31000 block of Old Yale Rd. in Abbotsford, B.C.

Bailey was known to RCMP to have had an outstanding Warrant for his Arrest in relation to 65 charges, mainly weapons offences, out of Fort St. John.

Bailey was taken into custody and appeared in court on that day. His next scheduled court appearance is on Oct.8 at 10 a.m. in Fort St. John. RCMP say that although sworn out of Fort St. John, the charges are connected to a wider investigation stemming out of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Bailey is also scheduled for sentencing in November for a conviction in Halifax Provincial Court in connection to drug importation charges.
